If your court appearance is listed for the hours of 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, it has been scheduled as a Violations Bureau resolution. No appearance before a judge is required (unless you have received a court notice requiring you to appear for a hearing on this citation) and you may appear at the Court office in City Hall on or before your scheduled court date to resolve the citation.

If you would like the opportunity to appear before a judge, the Court staff can reschedule your appearance. Violations Bureau staff have authorization to accept your plea, and determine if the fine may be reduced based upon your prior driving record and the type of violation you received.

If your violation is one that requires a judicial appearance, a reschedule notification will be mailed to you at your DMV address of record, advising you of the date and time to appear.
